Universiti Teknologi MARA

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is Malaysia's largest public university by enrolment and one of the biggest universities in the world, with its main campus in Shah Alam, Selangor and a vast network of state and satellite campuses across the country. Its roots reach back to 1956, when it began as the RIDA Training Centre, growing into the Institut Teknologi MARA before being granted full university status in 1999. Today it educates hundreds of thousands of students across more than twenty faculties spanning engineering, business, medicine, law, the sciences, the arts and the humanities.

UiTM holds a distinctive place in Malaysia's higher-education landscape. Under its founding mandate, undergraduate places are reserved for Bumiputera Malaysian students.
