Multimedia University

Multimedia University (MMU) holds a special place in Malaysia's education story as the country's first private university, established in 1996 and owned by Telekom Malaysia, the nation's telecommunications giant. Built at the heart of Cyberjaya, Malaysia's purpose-built technology city, MMU was conceived to power the country's digital future, with a strong focus on information and communications technology, engineering and creative multimedia.

Today MMU educates students across two campuses: the main campus in Cyberjaya, just outside Kuala Lumpur, and a second campus in the historic city of Melaka. Between them they house faculties spanning artificial intelligence, computing, engineering, creative multimedia, cinematic arts, business, management and law, backed by research centres in fields like robotics, nanotechnology and virtual reality.
