About KPJ Healthcare University
KPJ Healthcare University (KPJU) began in 1991 as Puteri Nursing College at KPJ Tawakkal KL Specialist Hospital, offering the first private three-year Diploma in Nursing to 30 students. It was renamed KPJ International College in 2008, later became KPJ Healthcare University College, and achieved full university status in 2023. It is part of the KPJ Healthcare group, which runs a large network of private specialist hospitals in Malaysia. The university says it has more than 16,000 alumni. The main campus is in Kota Seriemas, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, about 8 km from Nilai KTM station and 20 km from KLIA/KLIA2. The group also runs two sister colleges, KPJ Healthcare College Johor Bahru and KPJ Healthcare College Penang (Bukit Mertajam). Across the three campuses there are approximately 2,900 students. KPJU teaches only health-related subjects: nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medical imaging, psychology, healthcare management and medical postgraduate programmes, from foundation to doctoral level. Students can do clinical training and internships at KPJ specialist hospitals across Malaysia. International students apply online or by email to the university, and a KPJU representative meets them at airport immigration on arrival.
