International tuition RM3,000 per semester for 8 semesters. UTHM's sheet prints a "total without hostel" of RM32,780, which still counts the first semester's hostel (RM2,070); without any hostel the university's own fees come to RM30,710.
About Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia
Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) began on 16 September 1993 as Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik (PLSP), which trained academic staff for Malaysia's polytechnics. It became Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO) in 1996 and a university college, Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO), in 2000. On 20 September 2006 the government granted it full university status under its present name, and the change was officially announced on 1 February 2007. The main campus covers 556.72 acres at Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, in Johor. UTHM also has a branch campus of 170.87 acres at the Pagoh Higher Education Hub (Hab Pendidikan Tinggi Pagoh) in Johor. UTHM reports about 22,300 students. UTHM describes itself as a public TVET (technical and vocational) university. Its eight faculties cover civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, engineering technology, computer science, applied sciences, technology management and business, and technical and vocational education. International students apply online. UTHM's International Office handles registration and student visas, and residential colleges are available on campus.
