About Asia Metropolitan University
Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) is a private university in Malaysia with deep roots in healthcare education. It began in 2004 as Masterskill University College of Health Sciences and was upgraded to full university status in 2012, taking on its present name. Today it is regarded as one of the country's larger nursing and health-sciences universities, running teaching campuses in the Cheras area of Kuala Lumpur and in Johor Bahru (Seri Alam), alongside a campus in Cyberjaya. AMU's strongest identity is in health: it offers an MBBS medical degree, nursing, pharmacy and a wide spread of allied-health programmes such as physiotherapy, medical imaging and radiotherapy, biomedical science and paramedic science. Around this health core, the university also teaches business, accounting, management and information technology, plus foundation and postgraduate pathways, so students can move from pre-university study right through to a Master's or PhD under one institution. For students coming from Bangladesh, AMU is an approachable, English-medium option with a clear focus on hands-on clinical and practical training. Its programmes are quality-assured by Malaysia's regulators, its nursing and medical qualifications carry professional-body recognition, and its multi-campus setup means you can choose the location that fits your course. Foundation and diploma routes make it a realistic entry point even if you don't yet meet direct-degree entry requirements.
